Typically, the doctor measures your PD and puts it in the prescription. But if you don’t have it on your prescription, we have an easy way for you to measure it. It’s a two-minute procedure: Download the GlassesOn App, follow the instructions to measure and you’re all set. Once you have your PD you can either enter it manually or send it to us later by email at info@viccieyewear.com.
Your PD is the distance between the center of one pupil to the center of the other in millimeters. This measurement is necessary to center your prescription on your lenses for accurate vision correction. The average PD is between 57mm and 65mm.
Depending on the strength of your prescription and the lens types required, it typically takes 3 to 10 days to be delivered. You will be sent an email where you will be able to track your order through a tracking number once it has been shipped.
If your prescription is greater than -4.00, it would be wise to go for high index lenses. We offer lightweight, thin lenses that won’t make your eyes look big behind the lenses.
A prescription that ranges between +/-.025 to +/-2.00 is considered light, the range between +/-2.25 to +/-4.00 is considered average, and anything more than +/-4.00 is considered severe (for severe prescriptions, we recommend our high-index lenses).
We offer a variety of high-quality lenses which cover UV protection. We also have blue-light lenses, photochromatic lenses, anti-glare, high-index, and polarized sunglass lenses.
It’s simple really, first get your prescription from the doctor with your PD measured, and then head to our website and choose your frames based on your style.
This is different from person to person. But on average if it’s your first time with glasses it could take up to two weeks.
